Location: Cranston, Rhode Island

Monitors and assists the child and family in programmatic interventions including but not limited to gaining access to needed medical, social, educational and other developmental/therapeutic serv! ices. Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team serving infants and toddlers.

Responsibilities:
Protects the rights and dignities of individuals with developmental disabilities and extend these rights and dignities to family members or guardians.

Upholds and complies with all safety programs and policies to maintain a safe work environment for employees, clients, family members and visitors.

Commits to organizational quality initiatives by participating in programs that will assure quality improvements and team processes.

Maintains and assists in procuring assessments and evaluations necessary for establishing need for services.

Participates in the treatment, planning process and monitoring progress in meeting the goals and objectives of the IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan).

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Early Childhood Special ! Education, social work, psychology, communication disorders, n! utrition, or a related Early Intervention field; 2-5 years experience providing interventions to infants and toddlers (birth to age three) in a family-focused, home-based setting; experience in the trans-disciplinary provision of support. A minimum of 12 hours per year of training with a focus on working with young children with disabilities and their families and completion of the Introduction to EI course within six months of date of employment is required. Must have valid driver’s license, safe driving record, automobile insurance and own vehicle to be used as directed and when needed for transportation. Must have and maintain pediatric CPR certification.
