Description : The Clerical Group Leader working in the Med/Peds Program under general supervision, but according to established policies and procedures, functions as a lead or resource person for clerical employees. Utilizes experience-based knowledge of specific unit/department operations in order to assign work, established work schedules and review the work of others. Regularly performs a variety of clerical duties in addition to lead responsibilities, such as gathering data, preparing reports, taking messages, typing and so forth. Qualifications : A level of knowledge generally obtained through high school or its equivalent. The ability to operate standard and automated office equipment, including an on-line computer terminal. Good math skills in order to perform statistical analysis, calculate and verify report totals. The administrative ability to function as a lead or resource person for clerical employees and coordinate there activities. EXPERIENCE: Six to twelve months experience with progressively more responsible experience in order to become familiar with all unit/department functions. PREFERRED: Clerical Lead for the ambultory Pediatrics office of Medicine -Pediatrics, a family practice. Must be Spanish speaking. Post high school education stronly preferred.
