Description : With the opening of a specialized inpatient program jointly operated by Hasbro Children's Hospital and Bradley Hospital focused on the treatment of children and adolescents with medical and mental health concerns, Bradley Hospital announces the availability of a unique 32 hour position for a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist with special interests in the interface of mental and medical disorders . This new 8 bed inpatient program at Hasbro Hospital will serve 10-18 year olds in a multidisciplinary treatment approach. The position will entail the provision of direct clinical assessment and treatment including individual, family and group therapy as part of the interdisciplinary team. Opportunities for a 40 hour position with additional duties will be explored with the appropriate candidate. Hasbro Children's Hospital is the primary training site for the pediatric residency of the Department of Pediatrics and both Bradley and Hasbro are the major teaching sites for the Child Fellowship and Triple Board Residency of the Departments Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. Both hospitals also serve as teaching sites for psychology, nursing and social work trainees. Qualifications : The successful candidate will have an advance nursing degree with RI licensure with prescription privileges, outstanding peer and/or supervisory references, and a well established pattern of collegial implementation of evidence based practices. Clinical experience working with children having both medical and behavioral health concerns and their families is highly desirable. ·
