This is a highly visible role in an organization with congruent values, flat hierarchy, and a very collaborative culture.Coastal Medical (www.coastalmedical.com) was formed in 1995 by the merger of seven internal medicine practices. The group has expanded to include four Pediatric Practices, Family Medicine practices, and includes cardiac, pulmonary, and sleep medicine care.
Over the years, a strong supporting infrastructure has developed, enabling Coastal to provide exceptional care to patients as well as stability for the medical practices. Coastal is now the largest primary care group practice in Rhode Island, serving over 110,000 patients in 20 convenient locations state-wide. The Coastal team is comprised of more than 105 providers (80 physicians, NPs, and PAs) and continues to grow. Coastal is a recognized leader in cutting edge clinical quality initiatives.
All Coastal Medical offices are NCQA Level 3 recognized Patient Centered Medical Homes and are regularly achieving Meaningful Use measures. The Coastal team takes great pride in being fully accountable for the care they provide to their patients. All Coastal physicians are board-certified or board-eligible and are well-respected members of the medical community. Coastal uses e-ClinicalWorks for its EHR.Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Director of Clinical Quality Management and Innovation will lead and support all Clinical Quality Programs and Clinical Improvement Processes, as well as lead and manage the Clinical Pharmacist Program, the Nurse Care Manager Program, and Data Collection and Reporting Initiatives.
Most significantly, this position is chartered with developing and implementing new Quality Programs that will elevate and improve Quality awareness throughout the organization.
