Under the direction of the Senior Therapist, Clinical Specialist, ! Clinical Coordinator or Clinical Manager within the program specific area, the Staff Therapist completes comprehensive examinations to determine body structure and function level impairments and resultant activity limitations and participation restrictions. Based on the findings from the examination, the therapist completes an evaluation, and establishes a diagnosis, prognosis, and an individualized plan of care. The Physical Therapist implements treatment interventions defined by the plan and performs ongoing evaluation throughout the duration of the episode of care. Demonstrates age-specific competency in caring for individuals across the age-span which may include neonates/infants, pediatrics, adult and geriatric populations. Uses patient/caregiver centered focus and applying evidence-based practice in the clinical care to individuals from diverse language, ethnic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds as well as to individuals who have multiple disabilities. The Physi! cal Therapist works with the patient to achieve the highest po! ssible level of function to allow participation across community based settings. Provisions of service are in accordance with the state laws and regulations and standards as set forth by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Qualifications : REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required; Master of Science or Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred.
State license issued by the Rhode Island Department of Health.
Pedi experience preferred
