L+M Physicians (L+MP) is a hospital affiliated multispecialty employed grou! p, is seeking a full time Family Medicine physician for their practice located in Charlestown, Rhode Island. The practice is part of a larger system consisting of Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, Connecticut and Westerly Hospital in Westerly, Rhode Island. L+MP is rapidly growing with currently seventy physicians and thirty-five non-physician providers with projections to reach one hundred physicians within the next year.
Qualifications:
MD or DO Degree
Licensed in Rhode Island
Residency or fellow graduate
Board Certified preferred
Experienced preferred
Urgent care skills: suturing, allergic reactions, rashes
Specifics:
Support staff consists of an Office Manager, Receptionist and Medical Assistant
Practice consists of 60% adult, 20% geriatric, 10% adolescent, 10% pediatric patients
Call â€" to be determined (joining a call group)
Opening due to current physician leaving to fulfill mil! itary commitment

The W! esterly Hospital is located along the southwestern shoreline of Washington County, Rhode Island. It is a 100-bed community hospital that provides medical, surgical, diagnostic laboratory and rehabilitative services using state-of-the-art technology. The medical staff is comprised of 130+ primary and specialty physicians dedicated to the patients they serve.
Westerly is a beachfront community located on the south shore of the state and it consists of a number of small villages. It becomes a large tourist attraction during the summer months and the population nearly doubles. In addition to its well-known beaches, historic districts and a plethora of cultural, entertainment and shopping options, the area is also known for its granite and stone-cutting industry. There are a variety of housing options including year-round waterfront homes, excellent schools and a safe family-oriented community.
