Reporting directly to the Clinical Coordinator or Clinica! l Manager within the program specific area the Occupational Therapist completes comprehensive examinations to determine body structure and function level impairments and resultant activity limitations and participation restrictions. Based on the findings from the examination, the therapist completes an evaluation and establishes diagnosis, prognosis, and an individualized plan of care. The Occupational Therapist implements treatment interventions defined by the plan and performs ongoing evaluation throughout the duration of the episode of care. Demonstrates age-specific competency in caring for individuals across the age-span which may include neonates/infants, pediatrics, adult and geriatric populations. Uses patient/caregiver centered focus and applying evidence-based practice in the clinical care to individuals from diverse language, ethnic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds as well as to individuals who have multiple disabilities. The Occupational Therapist works ! with the patient to achieve the highest possible level of func! tion to allow participation across community based settings. Provisions of service are in accordance with the state laws and regulations and standards as set forth by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy a minimum; Master of Science or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred. State License issued by Rhode Island Department of Health.
EXPERIENCE :
New Graduates considered; clinical experience in program specific settings preferred. Other relevant experience considered.
