Job Summary
PCHC seeks a Family Medicine Physician to join our growing network of neighborhood-based clinics. We have opened a new location to meet patient demand. Our primary care teams provide health care services to more than 50,000 patients in Providence, Rhode Island.
PCHC is an innovative Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a solid leadership team. For nearly 50 years, our ten neighborhood-based clinics are NCQA Level 3 patient-centered medical homes that serve a multicultural population. Our care team includes 70+ Family Physicians, Internists, Pediatricians, OB-GYN Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Dentists. PCHC also provides integrated behavioral health, nurse case management, in-house optometry, podiatry and asthma/allergy services. Teaching opportunities are available.
Responsibilities and Duties
Primary responsibilities for Family Medicine Physicians include Weekday outpatient clinic with rotating coverage for newborns at a regional hospital (no OB or general inpatient duties); On-call duty is phone-based and shared with a large group; Newborn hospital coverage is currently 1:8.
Qualifications and Skills required:
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
- Must have current M.D. or D.O. license in Rhode Island.
- As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the credentialing instructions.
- Shall have and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support. (BLS).
- Bilingual and bicultural skills valued but not required.
