The pay range for this position in California, Washington and Colorado at commencement of employment is expected to be between $135K and $145K/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, in addition to a full range of generous medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position directs and manages projects and activities in plant and equipment maintenance and capital improvement projects for PSG departments and other departments, as assigned.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs and oversees the maintenance of all production and packaging equipment and machines, ensuring cost-effectiveness, a high standard of upkeep and compliance with all safety and budgetary requirements. Establishes, agrees and delivers against Maintenance functional KPIs.
- Supervises plant maintenance personnel including training and development, performance management and planning, organizing and coordinating the activities of the plant maintenance staff. Ensures technology awareness and timely acquisition of appropriate technical skills by the team.
- Establishes high effective collaboration and teamwork between maintenance team and production, Quality, engineering, and new product development teams.
- Applies business context to determine and implement appropriate maintenance tactics: predictive, preventive, corrective, break-down maintenance.
- Manages the timely and cost-effective procurement of equipment, parts and supplies; procures, designs and improves equipment and facilities in accordance with production, packing and safety standards.
- Coordinates R&D projects and installations with Senior Director of Process Development –R&D.
- Oversees and negotiates contracts with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
- Assists in the activities associated with plant sanitation to insure the work environment is maintained in accordance with See’s standards for cleanliness and safety.
- Assists with Emergency Preparedness Program. Acts as facility manager for La Cienega location.
- Insures plant compliance with all governmental regulations and agencies such as OSHA, EPA, FDA, and local building, health and other codes.
- Manages activities of MP2 computerized Maintenance Management System (CPPM). Uses data to ensure high decision quality.
- Supports implementation of Continuous Improvement programs, new methods, procedures and systems to improve quality and food safety. Responsible for leading Food Safety and Quality efforts with the designated SQF Practitioner.
- Manages operations to comply with all applicable safety, food safety and environmental laws and regulations, as well as Company safety policies, food safety and quality procedures and standards.
- Establishes principles for change and maintains change momentum through employee communication, engagement and development. Also learns from, measures and sustains change results.
- Performs special projects as assigned by management.
- Responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance technology and innovation that will improve departmental effectiveness
- Responsible for execution and adherence to pre-requisite programs as well as food security/defense program.
- In the absence of the Plant Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will assume plant responsibility under the leadership and guidance of the Plant Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five to ten years’ experience in plant machinery and equipment maintenance.
- Strong people management and motivational skills. Excellent communication and technical skills are essential.
- Customer service and stakeholder engagement skills, understanding and actively using the concept of internal customer.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Proven project management skills.
- Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field, equivalent related work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
