This individual will be responsible for working closely with customers on performance related issues. THE PERSON:
We are looking for an experienced Power and Performance Optimization Engineer with strong hands-on and analytical skills. This individual will be responsible for working closely with customers on performance related issues. The applicant must be a team player with a commitment to meet deadlines and have an aptitude to thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position will be a subject matter expert for x86 server workloads and how to tune AMD server processor based systems for optimized power and performance.
- Work with customers to debugging and troubleshooting system-level efficiency & IO performance issues.
- Analyze customer power/performance requirements and foresee power management challenges for next generation EPYC product
- Provide business critical engineering enablement for business development to enable design-win expansion
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience of SPEC.org benchmarks is required
- Experience in other server industry performance benchmarks or synthetic workloads is preferred
- Experience with various profiling tools to be able to optimize application code
- Strong hands-on technical skills with one or more OS, hypervisors, databases, and applications.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skill is a must
- Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion
